Bio: With over 14 years of teaching experience, Sarah has worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to music education, tailoring each lesson to each student’s unique goals, learning style, and musical interests.
Sarah strives to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to challenge themselves, build confidence, and discover the joy of making music. Throughout her teaching career, she has helped students explore a wide variety of repertoire, from Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 16 in C Major and Giuseppe Giordani’s Caro Mio Ben, to Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies” and Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” on guitar.
Whether a student is preparing for auditions, learning a favorite song, or picking up an instrument for the first time, Sarah’s goal is to make lessons rewarding, inspiring, and fun, while fostering a lifelong love of music.
Sarah studied music at Mt. San Antonio College, where she served as Student Director of Concert Choir, performed with the Chamber Choir, and toured internationally to Magdeburg, Germany, earning a First Place medal in the Madrigal category at Choir of the World. She later continued her education at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach, studying Jazz Studies and performing with Pacific Standard Time, the university’s premier vocal jazz ensemble. During her studies, she received an Outstanding Soloist Award from DownBeat Magazine.
Fun Fact: When she’s not teaching, you’ll usually find Sarah with an iced coffee in hand, swing dancing, or catching up on Star Trek. Live long and prosper! 🖖
