Covid 19 Update

We want to share with you the guidelines and safety procedures we have set in place for in-person lessons. These guidelines include social distancing, increased sanitary and cleaning measures, mask-wearing for our staff and students as per government mandate, hospital-grade air purification, and more.

Measures We Are Taking:

Wellness Checks for Staff

All staff members will be wellness checked before the teaching day.

Student Wellness

Instructors or front desk staff will take each student’s temperature as they enter the school.

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms such as, but not limited to, a runny nose, cough, fever or chills, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, muscle, and/or or body aches will be asked to take their class remotely from home. Parents are asked not to send their children to class if they, or a member of their household, are presenting symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 and instead notify staff@artsmusicacademy.com to attend class virtually.

If a student enters the academy presenting any symptom(s), they will be asked to leave and their instructor will record a LessonMate lesson for them.

Hand Hygiene

Employees will wash hands and/or sanitize before and after each lesson and class.

Students will be required to wash hands and/or sanitize before and after classes. Hand sanitizer will be available directly inside all entrances and inside the classrooms.

Enhanced Cleaning Procedures

Instruments used in lessons will be wiped down between sessions.

Enhanced Ventilation and Air Purification Systems

We have installed medical-grade air purifiers in the lobby and every room to increase ventilation and filter out virus particles that may be in the air.

Facility Adjustments

We have outdoor waiting areas on the front porch and in the back yard area, and an indoor lobby.

Entering/Exiting

Students are welcome to wait outside or in the lobby. If students wait outside, their instructor will come out to greet them and bring them inside.

At the end of lessons, students will be escorted outside by their instructor.

We ask that parents be at the school right at the end of lesson time to ensure a smooth transition between lessons. Otherwise, students will be asked to wait in the lobby so that we can assure pickup.

Bathroom Use

We encourage all students to use the restroom at home before coming to class but both bathrooms will be available for student use if necessary.

Zoom

All teaching studios and classes will have Zoom capabilities for those who wish to start or continue online. If canceled for any reason including weather or air quality, class will be online through Zoom at the regularly scheduled time.

Again, at this time, and for the foreseeable future, every instructor and student has a choice of whether they want to come in for in-person lessons or continue teaching/learning remotely.
