Sunjoo Yeo (Soprano) is a member of SAG-AFTRA and has performed in over 50 productions with the LA Opera Chorus. She received her Master’s Degree in Vocal Arts from University of Southern California and has been a featured soloist in numerous performances of oratorios, cantatas, and operas. Notable solo appearances include Messiah, Stories from Korea, and LAMC 50th Anniversary Concert with the LA Master Chorale as well as Clocks and Clouds with the LA Philharmonic. Ms. Yeo has performed internationally in South Korea, Japan tour concert, and across Europe with the LA Philharmonic for the premiere of Gospel According to the Other Mary by John Adams, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.

Sunjoo has been the Music Director for the St. Andrew Catholic Church’s annual Bach to Broadway benefit concert and the Ari Project, hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles, since 2018. She has led the youth choirs for Independent Opera Company in their production of Midsummer Night’s Dream and Celestial Opera in their production of Pagliacci. She is the Founder & Artistic Director of Vibra Voce, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting local emerging artists in Los Angeles through carefully curated concerts and mentorship opportunities (www.vibravoce.org). Through Vibra Voce, she has organized many accessible community concerts and in 2021 curated the annual Voices of Asia concert series which acts as a platform to celebrate and highlight Asian culture and music.

Ms. Yeo has maintained a private voice studio, comprised of students of all levels, for over 30 years. Her students have been featured soloists with the LA Philharmonic, LA Opera, and LA Opera Connects. She is a current adjunct professor at East LA Community College.
