Dan
Instruments: Guitar, Piano, Bass, Ukulele
Bio: Dan is a lifelong music-maker who is passionate about sharing the joys of music. Originally from Northern Virginia, his musical background ranges from rock and pop, jazz and classical, and beyond! After studying at George Mason University and with DC-area music luminaries like Rick Whitehead (The Airmen of Note), Larry Snitzler (protege of Andres Segovia), Jim Carroll (Michael Jackson, Woody Herman), and Dan Leonard (Deanna Bogart, Mary Ann Redmond); he moved to NYC to immerse himself in the vanguard of the live music scene, before making his way to LA in 2016.
Here in Los Angeles, outside of private teaching and guitar performance, his professional career has been spent producing and songwriting for major artists as well as his own passion projects. His work has taken him to major stages, national television performances, radio play, and garnered over 150 million streams worldwide. He is also an active music coordinator and worship leader at his church.
He has been giving lessons since 2005, and loves teaching all age groups on guitar, piano, bass guitar, and ukulele. Whether teaching, performing, creating or producing, Dan seeks to draw on the same sparks that first brought his love of music to life, and shine a light on those innate gifts within his students and collaborators.
